Hillbilly Hunter Beans
Here’s one of those “down home” favorites which is full of flavor and goes with everything including hot dogs and hamburgers.
1 48-ounce Randall Beans, any variety, undrained
5 tablespoons light brown sugar
1/2 cup catsup
1/2 cup molasses
1 tablespoon prepared mustard
1 cup chopped onion
4 slices smoked bacon, diced
1/2 cup water
Stir the Randall beans together with all of the other ingredients.
Pour into a 2 quart casserole.
Bake, uncovered, in a preheated 325° oven for 2 hours.
Serve hot.
8 servings.
For a spicier taste substitute a hot, spicy catsup or one of the new "salsa style" catsups.

Randall pinto and great northern beans are also available in 24oz. jars. All recipes calling for the 48oz. portion, can simply be cut in half to accommodate the smaller 24oz. jar.
